Occupational accident

In the case of a work accident where a registered vehicle is involved in the employee’s errands, or on the direct route to or from work, the rules on traffic accidents apply to compensation for the accident. It is important that accidents at work are reported immediately to employers, Sjúkratryggingar Íslands, the Adminstration of Occupational Safety and Health and the relevant insurance company. It is also important to go for a medical examination as soon as possible after the accident. Reports need to be made to ensure the right to compensation. The compensation
You may be entitled to compensation for temporary loss of income, suffering and permanent disability, as well as reimbursement of medical expenses incurred as a result of the accident.
The process
It is important to report an accident at work as soon as possible so that the right to compensation is not lost. We can help you with that.
